About the Role
As a Youth Respite Worker, you will be responsible for caring for children in the community in the absence of their primary caregivers. Your daily tasks will include maintaining the normal routine as outlined by the primary caregiver, attending scheduled respite meetings, and documenting contacts in progress notes. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with hours from Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 7 pm.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A clean, valid NYS driver's license that will meet and maintain a satisfactory driving record consistent with agency and insurance standards.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations required by federal, state, or local law.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with children with social, emotional and behavioral issues desired.
Benefits
- Competitive pay rate of $20.30 per hour.
- Full-time position with 35 hours per week.
