Summary
YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a Wellness Coach to join their team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role involves increasing membership growth and retention through personal relationships and support for members utilizing the wellness center.
About the Role
As a Wellness Coach, you will be responsible for performing new member uFit sessions, providing individual supervision, tracking wellness program progress, assisting members with equipment, maintaining a clean exercise environment, and promoting healthy lifestyle habits. You will also engage with members to build relationships and encourage participation in wellness programs.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred in exercise science or related field.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for the majority of the shift.
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong member engagement skills.
- Computer skills and ability to learn relevant software.
