Powerwell is seeking a Welding Engineer to join their team in Troy, MI. The role involves overseeing welding operations, training employees, and collaborating with project engineers to ensure product quality and efficiency.
About the Role
As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for managing welding processes, training staff, and developing welding qualification programs. You will work closely with project and quality engineers to meet customer expectations and ensure smooth transitions from preproduction to production. Your duties will include troubleshooting production equipment, conducting time studies, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Over three years of robotic welding engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
Strong knowledge of material processing, tooling, and part fabrication.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer literate.
Preferred:
Experience with GMAW (Mig), GTAW (Tig), Laser, and Plasma welding.
Experience with welding stainless steel.
Ability to learn about new products/technologies quickly.
