About the Role
As a Wastewater Plant Operator, you will operate a WWTP Laboratory, WWTP, Collections System, and Reclaimed System. Your responsibilities include providing superior client service, ensuring timely completion of activities, scheduling work for optimized resource utilization, maintaining progress metrics, and providing technical support as needed.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a Laboratory Environment and in collecting/processing samples
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Treatment certification or ability to acquire in a year
- Experience in a Wastewater Treatment Plant environment or other safety-sensitive field
- Ability to follow written procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Data Collection and Entry
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Preferred:
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Collections license
- Experience coordinating activities with operational needs and evaluating project policies and objectives
- Ability to diagnose malfunctions and determine effective corrective actions
- Experience in asset review and condition assessment
- Knowledge to develop and update capital improvement plans
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor when needed
- Experience in maintaining equipment in sewage treatment plant systems
- Ability to develop, implement, and enforce compliance and safety regulations
- Experience in providing training for less experienced employees
