About the Role
As a Wastewater Plant Operator, you will operate a WWTP Laboratory, manage the WWTP, Collections System, and Reclaimed System. Your responsibilities include scheduling work, maintaining progress metrics, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a Laboratory Environment and in collecting/processing samples
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Treatment certification or ability to acquire within a year
- Experience in a Wastewater Treatment Plant environment or other safety-sensitive field
- Ability to follow written procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data collection/entry
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Preferred:
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Collections license
- Experience coordinating activities with operational needs
- Ability to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions
- Experience in asset review and condition assessment
- Knowledge to develop and update capital improvement plans
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor
- Experience in maintaining equipment in sewage treatment plants
- Experience in training less experienced employees
