About the Role
As the Vice President of Finance & Operations, you will serve as a strategic partner to the President and executive leadership team on all financial and operational matters. Your responsibilities will include leading budget development, overseeing business office operations, managing key departments such as Facilities and IT, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, and optimizing the college's financial health through effective stewardship.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally with oversight beyond core finance.
- Prior experience in higher education or similarly mission-driven institutions.
- Proven success managing budgets, audits, and cross-departmental teams.
- Strong communication and board-facing presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of compliance, grants, and institutional financial planning.
- Executive presence with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
Preferred:
- CPA is required.
- CMA or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field considered.
- Familiarity with systems such as Anthology, Blackbaud, or similar ERP tools.
Benefits
- Base salary range: $175k–$200k per year.
- Additional consideration may be given based on candidate experience, leadership scope, credentials, and availability.
