COVU is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves leading the engineering function to scale their AI-native infrastructure for insurance and risk management.
About the Role
As the Vice President of Engineering, you will partner with the Chief Product Officer to drive execution across the platform roadmap. You will manage team development, sprint delivery, and technical standards while scaling processes to support a multi-vertical product business. This foundational leadership role requires shipping fast, scaling teams, and creating structure without bureaucracy, while also recruiting and inspiring a team of world-class engineers.
About You
Required:
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles scaling SaaS engineering organizations.
- Track record of shipping AI-enabled, multi-tenant cloud products with high uptime.
- Expertise in AWS and modern DevOps toolchain (K8s/serverless, Terraform, GitOps, observability stacks).
- Experience in building inclusive, feedback-rich cultures.
Preferred:
- Comfortable partnering with Product & GTM teams.
- Ability to translate business metrics into engineering goals.
