As a Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for managing clerical tasks within the unit, monitoring telemetry, and ensuring effective communication. Your daily tasks will include prioritizing work assignments, detecting cardiac arrhythmias, and utilizing various medical equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the healthcare team in delivering quality patient care.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Successful completion of a basic EKG course or passing of 80% or greater on the exam.
- One year experience as Unit Secretary or completion of Unit Secretary course preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.
Preferred:
- Proficient in cardiac arrhythmia detection and medical terminology.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Competent in managing and prioritizing work assignments in a timely manner.
