About the Role
As an Underwriter, you will review and underwrite customer (KYC) and business (KYB) applications, conduct risk assessments, verify company structures, and apply relevant UK regulations. You will collaborate with various teams to resolve complex cases and contribute to the improvement of underwriting policies and compliance tools.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of underwriting, risk, or compliance experience within UK financial services, banking, or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of UK AML, KYC, and KYB frameworks, including FCA requirements.
- Experience in credit risk assessment, fraud detection, and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with compliance and underwriting platforms; experience with AI/fintech tools is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, CII).
