Summary

UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Transportation Analyst to support the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in Washington, DC. The role involves leading and coordinating technical efforts related to child passenger safety and car seat evaluation.

About the Role

As a Transportation Analyst, you will serve as a technical resource on car seat safety and occupant protection systems. Your responsibilities will include developing research plans, coordinating engineering evaluations, preparing technical reports, and acting as a liaison for internal and external coordination efforts. You will utilize Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and presentations while managing multiple priorities effectively.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5+) years of relevant professional experience.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) or able to obtain certification prior to start.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Strong presentation development and data communication abilities.
Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Proactive ownership mindset and ability to lead efforts independently.
Strong interpersonal skills and clear, effective communication.
