About the Role
As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers, converter dollies, and light-duty vehicles. Your duties will include electrical diagnostics, repairs, and utilizing the company's maintenance system for work orders and vehicle records. You will also assist with parts purchasing and inventory management, as well as perform general cleaning and repair duties.
About You
Required:
- 4 years of experience in fleet trailer maintenance and repair (up to 2 years can be credited for technical training/schooling).
- Knowledge and understanding of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance.
- Air brake certification.
- Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
- ASE certification.
- Current valid driver's license (CDL Class A preferred but not required).
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
