Summary
Magna International is seeking a Tooling Manager to join their team in Lancaster, OH. The role involves overseeing the tooling department and ensuring effective communication and implementation of tooling processes.
About the Role
As a Tooling Manager, you will be responsible for leading the tooling department, aligning with maintenance and engineering teams, and managing the implementation of tooling improvements. Your duties will include overseeing the tooling work order and preventative maintenance program, maintaining KPIs, providing guidance to tooling technicians, and supporting manufacturing engineering with tooling design.
About You
Required:
- Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Diploma, journeyman in tool & die, or relevant work experience; Must have automotive manufacturing background.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, stamping processes, advanced GD&T, ergonomics, PPAP, and production experience.
- Knowledge of progressive dies, transfer dies, blank forming, tube forming & roll forming.
- Knowledge of weld fixturing and tool design.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role with proven leadership practices.
- Computer proficiency including MS Office and literacy in CAD.
Preferred:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, financial, and time management skills.
- Human relations skills and maturity of judgement.
