GE Aerospace is seeking a Test Cell Engineer to join their team in Arkansas City, KS. The role involves leading activities for assigned engine programs, reviewing test procedures, and initiating software changes.
About the Role
As the 1st Shift Support Engineer, you will maintain and troubleshoot test cell systems, coordinate engine test activities, and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. You will serve as the primary focal point for select engine models, solve technical problems, and perform perfection reviews for engine shipping.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of manufacturing or shop experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct manufacturing, assembly, or test cell experience.
- Airframe and Powerplants license or 3 years of jet engine repair experience.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Aircraft engine experience on CFM56, CF34, or CT7/T700 engine programs.
- Project management skills.
- Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements.
- Problem-solving mindset: analytical, critical thinker, and challenges existing processes.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced workplace.
