About the Role
As a Telephonic Case Manager I, you will provide medical case management by coordinating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include assessing and evaluating treatment plans for medical necessity and cost-effectiveness, making medical recommendations, and implementing care strategies. You will also be required to prepare organized reports, maintain productivity standards, and comply with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required, BSN desirable.
- Current RN Licensure in state of operation.
- 3 or more years of recent clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation.
- URAC recognized Case Management certification required to be obtained within 3 years of hire if no nationally recognized certification is present at time of hire.
Preferred:
- Strong clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation.
- Strong cost containment background, such as utilization review or managed care.
- Certification as a CIRS or CCM preferred.
