Summary
PPG is seeking a Technical Assistant, Experienced to join their automotive refinish technical team in Delaware, OH. The role involves supporting Refinish coatings R&D and contributing to the development of new products focusing on primers, sealers, and surfacers.
About the Role
As a Technical Assistant, you will work in the laboratory preparing paint samples, conducting tests using Design of Experiment (DOE) methodology, and leading raw materials replacement projects. You will ensure the quality of paints through testing, analysis, and documentation, while collaborating with chemists to support new product development.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent with successful completion of algebra and chemistry.
- 2+ years of laboratory experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
- Some post high school education (Associates or technical school).
- Spray application or coatings formulation experience.
