Jane Street is seeking a Tax Specialist to join their New York Tax team. The role involves managing the firm's tax compliance processes for U.S. partnerships and corporations, focusing on federal, state, and local income taxes, as well as some indirect taxes.
About the Role
As a Tax Specialist, you will work alongside team members to review partnership and corporate tax returns and manage compliance processes end-to-end, including financial statement disclosures and finalizing tax returns. You will also research tax issues, develop spreadsheet calculations, manage apportionment schedules, prepare tax schedules, coordinate with tax authorities, and assist with CRS/FATCA compliance.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in partnership and corporate taxation with 3+ years in a public accounting firm.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across functional teams.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of indirect taxes such as Sales and Use, Commercial Rent Tax, and Financial Transaction Taxes.
- General understanding of FATCA/CRS/CBCR regimes.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $175k–$225k.
