Summary
OneHubPOS is seeking a System Engineer (POS Software & Hardware) to join their team in Folsom, CA. The role involves hands-on expertise in POS software and hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
About the Role
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing OneHubPOS software across various hardware platforms. You will lead deployment projects, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and provide support to customers. Additionally, you will define and manage system specifications, perform system validation, and train customer teams on setup and troubleshooting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years in POS systems, IT system engineering, or hardware/software integration roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux-based POS systems.
- Familiarity with POS peripherals (receipt printers, payment terminals, scanners).
- Networking fundamentals (LAN/WiFi configuration, VPN, firewalls).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.
- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with payment gateway integration (Worldpay, Square, Clover, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud-based POS deployments and device management platforms (MDM).
- Knowledge of QSR/Retail IT environments.
- Scripting/automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python) a plus.
