Summary
THE ARC CARROLL COUNTY is seeking a Supported Living DSP for a full-time, 40-hour position in Westminster, MD. The role involves providing one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in daily activities and personal growth.
About the Role
As a Supported Living DSP, you will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily activities, including social, recreational, and educational support. You will help them achieve their goals, provide transportation, and ensure quality services while complying with all required policies and procedures.
About You
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, specifically working with individuals with high medical needs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with no more than 2 current points on record.
- Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Clean drug screen and criminal record.
Preferred:
- Completion of CPR, First Aid, Certified Medication Technician, and other trainings mandated by the Developmental Disabilities Administration and The Arc.
- Desire to provide individualized support to people with disabilities.
