Brenntag is seeking a Supply Chain Operation Excellence Manager to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves driving strategic optimization of global chemical distribution supply chain operations through advanced program management, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
About the Role
As a Supply Chain Operation Excellence Manager, you will oversee interconnected supply chain initiatives, develop strategy planning frameworks, lead resource management across distribution centers, implement risk management protocols, establish performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement in program management practices. You will also lead process improvement initiatives, conduct process mapping, perform root cause analysis, facilitate collaboration across functions, and manage the people side of organizational change. Additionally, you will analyze supply chain performance data and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain operations, process improvement, or operational excellence, preferably in chemical distribution.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in program management or change management roles within global, matrixed organizations.
- Experience in the chemical distribution or specialty chemicals industry.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent process improvement certification.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives in supply chain operations.
- Bilingual capabilities in languages relevant to Brenntag's key markets.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions integration in the chemical industry.
