Summary
Amgen is seeking a Supplier Governance Manager to join their team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on maximizing value from partnerships with external providers and ensuring financial oversight of Clinical Trial suppliers.
About the Role
In this vital role, you will lead a team responsible for managing study level Purchase Orders (POs), work orders, and budgets with clinical service providers. You will ensure the quality of POs, manage issues related to approvals and invoices, develop functional processes, and communicate financial standards across teams. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert for work orders and liaise with various departments to support clinical trial budgeting.
About You
Required:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Masters degree & 2 years of clinical development, discovery research or translational science experience OR
- Bachelors degree & 4 years of clinical development, discovery research or translational science experience OR
- Associates degree & 8 years of clinical development, discovery research or translational science experience OR
- High school diploma / GED & 10 years of clinical development, discovery research or translational science experience
Preferred:
- BA/BS/BSc in the sciences or RN
- Proven work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including biopharmaceutical clinical research experience
- Experience in clinical supplier contracting, work orders and budgets
- Experience with global ERP systems, PO management, invoice management
- Experience as team leader or line manager
- Experience working at or with clinical research suppliers
- Experience working in a global, matrix organization
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines
- Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking
