Innovative Network of Knowledge is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join their team in West Monroe, LA. The role involves assisting in the education and daily program of a Head Start or Early Head Start classroom.
About the Role
As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the educational experiences of children in a preschool setting. Your duties will include assisting with classroom management, ensuring safety, providing individual attention to children, and participating in various educational activities. You will also be involved in reporting and addressing child welfare concerns, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and attending required training sessions.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and families, including those with limited English proficiency.
- Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.
- Ability to work effectively without extensive supervision.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- 2 years of related experience in a preschool classroom setting.
- Experience in child assessments and screenings.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
