Jobot is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their remote team, requiring a PE license in the State of Illinois. The role focuses on providing actionable intelligence regarding property and property contents.
About the Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will conduct site studies to evaluate damages to building materials for residential and commercial structures, write technical reports, and provide excellent customer service. You may also provide expert testimony and pursue additional training and certifications. Travel may be required for investigations.
About You
Required:
- BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Registered as an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Illinois.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong technical writing abilities with experience using Microsoft Word.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred:
- 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis, knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, building codes, design, or related experience.
- Active NCEES record or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of employment.
