PruittHealth is seeking a State Certified Pharmacy IV Technician to join their team in Lexington, SC. The role involves using aseptic techniques to mix and distribute intravenous medication orders according to established protocols.
About the Role
As a State Certified Pharmacy IV Technician, you will be responsible for entering orders for intravenous medication, maintaining inventory of medications and supplies, compounding large and small volume intravenous medications, and ensuring compliance with USP guidelines. You will also maintain cleanliness in the cleanroom, document environmental monitoring, and conduct monthly inspections of medication storage areas.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of computer technology.
- Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Demonstrates sound judgment consistent with training and academic background.
- Aseptic technique and IV room training.
- Knowledge of Standard Precautions.
- Knowledge of USP 797 Guidelines.
- Strong mathematical computation skills.
- Accurate typing skills (35 words per minute).
Preferred:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- 1 year experience in IV room.
