Summary
Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing electrical company in St. Petersburg, FL. The role involves managing all aspects of financial operations within the company.
About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will coordinate with management to prepare budgets and forecasts, oversee payroll functions, prepare tax returns, and develop accounting systems. The position requires advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online ERP and Acumatica ERP software.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online ERP and Acumatica ERP software.
Preferred:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with payroll, general ledger accounting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and tax planning.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
- Commercial construction experience is highly desirable.
