About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, assisting with procurement and inventory processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. Key responsibilities include recording financial transactions, supporting procurement processes, managing inventory tracking, processing accounts payable, and overseeing petty cash activities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field with at least 1.5 years of relevant experience with government contracts and grants.
- Experience in petty cash management and financial recordkeeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software; MIP Abila experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory procedures.
- Experience with grant-funded financial reporting and compliance.
