Summary
CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join their team in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting a wide-ranging technical support initiative for a large Federal agency.
About the Role
As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing installed systems, applications, and infrastructure, collaborating with software engineers to maintain operating systems, and implementing complex system changes. You will also oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirements, design security systems, and work within an Agile/Scrum team to design systems for data services projects.
About You
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science or related IT field/equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of system engineering experience including experience installing, managing, and maintaining systems for large, complex systems and data sets.
- Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, ETL processes, and testing tools.
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Preferred:
- Experience with DHS and knowledge of DHS standards.
- Excellent communication, personal, and governance skills.
- Experience in information security, integration, application development, and systems software.
