Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Sr. Principal/Principal Engineer, Project Management to join their team in Athens, GA. The role involves developing and managing the execution of capital projects to maintain budget, schedule, safety record, and project quality.
About the Role
As a Sr. Principal/Principal Engineer, Project Management, you will establish and control project scopes, budgets, and schedules. You will function within a technical, multi-discipline capacity to deliver capital investments, develop project concepts, and serve as the owner’s representative from concept through commissioning. Your responsibilities will include leading project teams, engaging AE support, developing cost-optimized project definitions, preparing funding requests, administering contracts, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction-related engineering or hard science from an accredited institution.
- Five-plus years of relevant experience in construction-oriented project management, preferably in the biopharma industry.
- Strong organization, leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Engineering/Project Management or Business Administration.
- PMP, EIT, or strong desire to pursue.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
