Summary
Arrowhead Products is seeking a Sr. Buyer to join their team in Los Alamitos, CA. The role involves procuring materials and components to manufacture saleable products while negotiating with suppliers to meet delivery, cost, and quality requirements.
About the Role
As a Sr. Buyer, you will evaluate prices, specifications, and delivery dates, prepare purchasing documentation, and develop expertise in procurement related to Aerospace requirements. You will implement replenishment strategies, support cost reduction projects, and analyze data to ensure optimal supply chain execution. Additionally, you will evaluate supplier performance and work towards improving delivery and quality metrics.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Aerospace facility.
- Working knowledge of commodities purchased, supply sources, and contracting methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven negotiation techniques and ability to drive for results.
Preferred:
- Previous work and/or internship experience in Supply Chain Management.
- CPSM or CPM certification.
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO-9001.
