About the Role
As a Sr. Advanced AMO Theorist, you will work directly with theorists and experimentalists to model quantum computers, communicate results through publications and presentations, and oversee best scientific practices within the theory team. You will be at the forefront of quantum computing, contributing to innovative solutions and advancements in the field.
About You
Required:
- Completed PhD prior to start.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in relevant research projects (Ph.D. inclusive).
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by contractual requirements.
- Candidates must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless they are also a U.S. citizen.
Preferred:
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with a background in atomic physics and/or quantum benchmarking.
- Formal background in theoretical physics with a proven track record of solving challenging problems.
- Knowledge of trapped-ion quantum computers.
- Experience working with quantum computing hardware.
- Experience working with experimentalists.
- Experience operating as a team leader on various projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with published results.
