About the Role
As a Sr Shop Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing maintenance and repairs, and diagnosing complex issues in diesel vehicles. You will work independently and collaborate with other technicians to ensure high-quality service and compliance with safety regulations. The position requires maintaining a clean work environment and effective communication with the service team and customers.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field.
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
- Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months.
- Valid state driver's license and ability to pass DOT background screening and physical.
Preferred:
- ASE T2 (Diesel Engines) certification.
- ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification.
- ASE T4 (Brakes) certification.
- ASE T5 (Suspension) certification.
- ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification.
- ASE T7 (HVAC) certification.
- ASE A8 (Engine Performance) certification.
- ASE L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist) certification.
- ASE L2 (Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist) certification.
