Summary
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Sr Lead Software Engineer - Platform Engineer to join their team in Plano, TX. The role involves enhancing, building, and delivering reliable technology products within the Consumer & Community Banking space.
About the Role
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will be part of an agile team responsible for developing secure and high-quality production code, providing technical guidance, and influencing product design and functionality. You will also contribute to the engineering community and promote diversity and inclusion within the team culture.
About You
Required:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, release management, and operational stability.
- Strong Full stack development experience.
- Strong knowledge in Platform engineering, DevOps, automation, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI, Harness, CircleCI).
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
- Experience with deployment automation and orchestration.
- Proficiency in Trunk-Based Development, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployments, and Canary Releases.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently.
- Practical cloud native experience.
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of mobile app delivery and experience in AWS or any cloud, Cloud foundry.
- Ability to drive shift-left strategies and modernize software delivery experiences.
- Experience developing and operating SDKs, API and UI facades for enterprise CI/CD toolchain.
- Experience gathering feedback and metrics from developers and stakeholders to improve CD processes.
