Summary
Magna International is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team in New Hudson, MI. The role involves assisting with month-end close, preparing financial reports, and maintaining financial records in a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for month-end close activities, preparing and posting journal entries, and providing analytical support for financial reports. You will also maintain balance sheet reconciliations, track fixed asset spending, and assist in the preparation of business plans and forecasts. The position requires effective interaction with team members and adherence to compliance and operational procedures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years finance experience in a manufacturing operations setting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Epicor/CMS and OneStream or Hyperion.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
