Fireline is seeking a Special Hazards Technician to join their team in Baltimore, MD. The role involves performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on various clean agent and special hazard suppression systems.
About the Role
As a Special Hazards Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining special hazard fire suppression systems, including clean agent systems like FM-200 and NOVEC 1230, CO2 systems, foam suppression systems, and explosion suppression systems. You will verify system operation through testing, conduct routine maintenance, ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations, and document all service activities.
About You
Required:
- Prior experience with FM-200, Inergen, CO2, NOVEC 1230, or other clean agent systems.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 12, 2001, and related standards.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred:
- NICET certification (Level I or higher in Special Hazards).
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including mechanical rooms and IT/data center spaces.
