Summary
Maximus is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their Rapid Deployment Team in McLean, VA. The role involves designing, prototyping, and deploying real-time solutions for federal programs.
About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will embed with federal programs to capture mission-critical workflows and transform internal innovations into market-ready solutions. You will architect scalable automation, drive CI/CD processes, and collaborate across various teams to ensure the viability of solutions. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to thrive in high-stakes environments.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in full lifecycle systems development and operations in a production environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
- Cloud certification within the past 3 years (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google).
- Demonstrated experience as a customer-facing or field-deployed engineer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced expertise in at least one development or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++, Rust).
- Experience designing and delivering microservices-based applications in cloud environments.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting or operating within DoD programs or highly regulated federal environments.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, and government security frameworks.
- Experience launching and maintaining solutions in AWS Marketplace or similar commercial software marketplaces.
- Experience with DevOps toolchains such as Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and practices.
