Summary
MIPS is seeking a Software Product Manager to join their team in Dallas, TX. The role involves defining the roadmap and leading the delivery of the Atlas SDK for Physical AI applications.
About the Role
As a Software Product Manager, you will develop and manage product roadmaps, serve as the Product Owner, collaborate with software teams, establish feedback loops, and ensure compliance with functional-safety standards. You will drive the adoption of the Atlas SDK and work closely with Customer Support and Sales teams to align product capabilities with customer requirements.
About You
Required:
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer with Technical Lead experience on more than 2 projects.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager with experience bootstrapping a new product or technology initiative.
- Strong technical fluency in Instruction Set Architectures, C/C++ compilers, RTOS, Linux, and AI runtime environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A background in safety or mission-critical industries and familiarity with functional safety standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with embedded operating systems such as INTEGRITY, VxWorks, ThreadX, or QNX.
- Hands-on experience with board support packages (BSPs), device drivers, and middleware frameworks.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
