About the Role
As a ServiceNow Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building custom applications, automating workflows, integrating third-party systems, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability of the ServiceNow environment. Your daily tasks will include designing and maintaining backend functionality, configuring ServiceNow applications, integrating with external systems, enforcing coding standards, collaborating with other developers, participating in Agile sprints, troubleshooting issues, and documenting technical specifications.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow development tools.
- Hands-on experience with integrations using REST/SOAP, OAuth, MID Servers, etc.
- In-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
- Experience with modules like ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Workflows.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow’s scripting engine and server-side development.
Preferred:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git repositories for version control.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of database design, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
