About the Role
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and leading strategic technical alignment with major organizations across Google, developing multi-year plans for validating end-to-end stack for TPU and GPU products, and ensuring product performance and stability for AI/ML customers. You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, working on critical projects that impact Google's AI initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing/launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
