About the Role
As a Senior Staff Attorney - Lending and Programs, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the General Counsel and internal leadership, focusing on legal compliance, risk management, and the Center's core programmatic work. Responsibilities include providing legal counsel on lending programs, compliance with federal and state laws, drafting legal documents, managing litigation, and supporting regulatory communications.
About You
Required:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York.
- At least six years of experience practicing law in lending, litigation, and real property.
Preferred:
- Experience in federal and state mortgage lending laws and consumer compliance.
- Knowledge of civil litigation, particularly in residential foreclosure and consumer fraud.
- Experience with regulatory compliance for financial institutions.
