Tau Motors is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in Redwood City, CA. The role involves designing and developing power electronics converters for automotive and energy storage applications.
About the Role
As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will model, design, implement, test, and benchmark power electronics for Tau motor drives. Your responsibilities include designing hardware for power converters, leading cross-disciplinary teams, and advancing Tau's intellectual property in power electronic systems.
About You
Required:
5 years relevant industry experience.
Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection.
Preferred:
Masters or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or mechatronic engineering with a focus on power electronics.
Awareness of UL and CE electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to the design of power converters.
