Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior OSP Engineer to join their team in Everett, WA. The role involves overseeing projects related to outside plant facilities, ensuring timely progress and budget adherence.
About the Role
As a Senior OSP Engineer, you will be responsible for executing projects initiated by the Planning department, including budgeting, project timing, and network growth. You will serve as the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of outside plant facilities, including cable sizing and permitting. Your duties will include coordinating with various departments, maintaining accurate cable records, and mentoring lower-tier engineers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience, or a minimum of three years' experience in an outside plant position.
- Minimum of three years telecommunications outside plant construction project management experience.
- Minimum of three years' experience in ROW, private easement, and permitting with local, state, and federal entities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of outside plant design, cable count layout, and capacities.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of engineering tools including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
