Summary
ICF is seeking a Senior Manager, Fuels and Energy Security to join their team in Reston, VA. The role focuses on electricity, natural gas, and petroleum markets and infrastructure, leading multiple projects and developing analytical products and services.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Fuels and Energy Security, you will lead research, analysis, technical writing, and reporting on energy-related issues. You will manage junior staff, monitor market regulations, develop business opportunities, and create reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with two to three days in the office.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, economics or related subjects.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in power, natural gas, and/or petroleum.
- Experience in managing projects within budgets and meeting deadlines.
- People management experience including mentorship of junior staff.
- US Citizenship
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, mathematics, economics or related subjects with 10+ years of relevant work experience in power, natural gas, and/or petroleum.
- Proficiency in research and writing skills with clear communication abilities.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in at least two of the market segments (natural gas, petroleum, and power markets/infrastructure).
- Deep knowledge of energy sector dependencies and resilience initiatives.
- Track record of leadership and achievement of goals, as well as development and growth of junior staff.
- Experience in expert witness testimony.
- Strong quantitative and/or modeling skills, including database management and data analysis skills, specifically Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills.
