About the Role
As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you will act as the technical liaison for all switching activities between engineering and NVIDIA customers, ensuring seamless engagement and a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities will include resolving complex hardware, software, and deployment challenges, building strong technical relationships with customer engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in system design or technical customer support in the switching and routing industry.
- Deep understanding of datacenter hardware including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Extensive experience debugging Ethernet or IB switches/routers and L2–L4 network protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and adapt in fast-paced environments.
Preferred:
- Experience integrating silicon and networking OS into partner solutions.
- Experience working with switch rollout in large-scale datacenters.
- Networking knowledge -- TCP/IP, Ethernet switching and routing protocols, Infiniband protocol, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Cables etc.
- Knowledge of SONIC, Cumulus, MLNX_OS or equivalent switching OS.
- C/C++, Python and Ansible programming skills.
