Summary
HDR is seeking a Senior FERC Regulatory Specialist (Hydropower) to join their Northern California team, contributing to their national hydropower practice ranked Number 2 in the Top 10 firms for 2024.
About the Role
As a Senior FERC Regulatory Specialist, you will lead medium to large multidisciplinary FERC regulatory projects, coordinate teams throughout the project lifecycle, prepare and review technical studies and regulatory documents, maintain client relations, present project work in various meetings, track financial aspects of projects, and mentor less-experienced staff.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 10 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Specific experience with Northern California utilities and irrigation districts with hydropower facilities.
- Knowledge of Northern California watersheds and key resource issues.
- Active participation in hydropower industry associations or related professional organizations.
- Master's degree in Environmental Science or a closely related field.
- PMP certification.
