Summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer Structures & Dynamics to join their team in Rockford, IL. The role involves performing structural and dynamic analyses of gas turbine engine power transfer components.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer Structures & Dynamics, you will be responsible for conducting structural analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis, performing dynamic testing, and providing guidance to less experienced engineers. You will work on multiple tasks with various project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
About You
Required:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in a structures and/or dynamics role.
Preferred:
- Experience with FFT analysis and digital processing skills.
- Proficiency in ANSYS, ABAQUS, and Siemens NX (Unigraphics) CAD.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in structural dynamic testing and analysis.
