Summary
Agtonomy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Hardware team in South San Francisco, CA. The role involves the electrical design of new and existing autonomous vehicle systems throughout the product lifecycle.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will own the electrical technical specifications, design, integration, and release of autonomous agriculture vehicle systems. Your responsibilities include designing schematics, board layouts, and wire harnesses, selecting components, developing budgets, troubleshooting issues, creating test plans, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on program execution.
About You
Required:
- BSEE and 6+ years of relevant experience (including MSEE/PhD degrees with professional engineering experience).
- 2+ years of experience in a professional and product-driven environment.
- Strong experience with EE CAD tools such as Eagle, Altium, and/or OrCAD.
- Strong experience with lab tools such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and protocol analyzers.
- Experience designing low-level microcontrollers PCBs and IO circuitry.
Preferred:
- Experience with robotics/mechatronics with complex custom board designs.
- Experience with low-level firmware development.
- Startup experience is a major plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about new technology.
