About the Role
As a Senior Compiler Engineer – Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership to a small team focused on compiler middle-end optimizations. Your responsibilities will include analyzing application code performance on NVIDIA GPUs, identifying performance improvement opportunities in the MLIR/LLVM based compiler optimizer, designing and developing new compiler passes, and adding support for architectural features in LLVM and MLIR. You will also interact with the open-source LLVM community and collaborate with geographically distributed teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions.
About You
Required:
- M.S or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years experience in Compiler Optimizations such as Loop Optimizations, Inter-procedural optimizations, and Global optimizations.
- 3+ years technical leadership experience.
- Excellent hands-on C++ programming skills.
- Experience writing significant analysis or transformation passes in LLVM framework.
- Understanding of Processor ISA (GPU ISA would be a plus).
- Strong background in software engineering principles with a focus on crafting robust and maintainable solutions.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing applications in CUDA or other parallel programming languages.
- Deep understanding of parallel programming concepts.
- Experience working on compile-time in JIT compilation.
