Summary
Emory Healthcare is seeking a Senior Clinical Ethicist to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The role involves supporting Ethics across the Emory Healthcare system and contributing to the development of the system-wide Ethics program.
About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Ethicist, you will provide formal and informal Ethics consultations, participate in the development of the Ethics consult service, engage in quality improvement efforts, support hospital-based Ethics Committees, and contribute to Ethics-related organizational policies and scholarship. You will also provide multidisciplinary Ethics education and collaborate with the Emory University Center for Ethics.
About You
Required:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Ethics or Ethics-related field with expertise in healthcare ethics, clinical ethics, or bioethics.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical ethics experience in clinical practice settings.
- In-depth knowledge and skills in clinical ethics and ethics case consultation methodologies.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
Preferred:
- Terminal degree (PhD, JD, MD or equivalent).
- Certification in healthcare ethics consultation (HEC-C) strongly preferred.
