Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software) is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer (Aprisa) to join their US-based field team, focusing on supporting and expanding the Aprisa Place & Route product in the electronic design automation industry.
About the Role
The role involves leading engagements with tier 1 customers, managing critical customer relationships, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring both technical and sales success. The engineer will collaborate closely with sales, R&D, marketing, technical support, and customer experience teams to innovate business processes and support the growth of Aprisa. The position offers flexible hours, occasional travel, and requires working as part of a team to meet customer expectations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Physics, Computer Science, or VLSI.
- Over five years of industry experience.
- Strong understanding and working experience with Innovus, IC Compiler I/II, Aprisa, and/or Nitro-SoC.
- Hands-on experience with RTL to GDS flows at advanced nodes, including IC design tape-outs or P&R evaluations/benchmarking meeting PPA and TTR goals.
- Expert-level scripting skills (TCL, command line *nix).
- Good understanding of Verilog and UPF data formats.
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence to navigate complex technical and business topics.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills.
- Customer-focused with an understanding of business ROI in technical engagements.
Preferred:
- Experience leading and training junior engineers.
- Ability to innovate on business processes and fill gaps in a rapidly growing product environment.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders including marketing, R&D, sales, and technical support.
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.
