Ciena is seeking a Senior Advisor, Product Line Management to join their team in Frederick Junction, MD. The role involves collaborating on the creation of the IP Software Roadmap and leading technical direction for key customer accounts within the IP Routing domain.
About the Role
As a Senior Advisor, Product Line Management, you will report to the Senior Director of SAOS 10.x PLM and facilitate agreements on IP product development direction. You will act as a subject matter expert with key IP customer decision makers, provide thought leadership in the industry, and participate in PLM-related Release Management activities. Your responsibilities will include leading overall technical direction for key customer accounts and driving new product introductions into customer accounts.
About You
Required:
- Minimum BS in engineering with telecommunications, networking or communications systems concentration or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience within the IP Routing domain, including at least 5 years of significant product line management experience.
Preferred:
- MBA desired.
- Strong product background in carrier grade IP routing, including IP Routing/Switching, MPLS, and Segment Routing.
- Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Traffic Engineering & Optimization.
