About the Role
As a Seafood/Dept Leader, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment, achieving sales and profit goals, and supervising all functions and activities within the Seafood department. Your daily tasks will include training associates, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and promoting teamwork to achieve store goals.
About You
Required:
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Current food handlers permit once employed
- Possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Management experience
- Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling
- Seafood experience
- Retail experience
- Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing
